Verve Cup Winners Announced

"Convexity" wins the Verve Cup

CHICAGO – 2009 Chicago Yacht Club Verve Cup Offshore Regatta is pleased to announce Donald Wilson from Chicago, skipper of Convexity, as this year’s overall winner of the Verve Cup. This year’s regatta was also host to three fleet championships, and the winners were as follows: Rick Lyall from Wilton, Conn., skipper of Storm, won the J/109 North Americans; Jim McDonnell from Des Plaines, Ill., skipper of Spanker, won the Beneteau 40.7 North Americans; and William Dooley of Glencoe, Ill., skipper of Mirage, won the Lake Michigan Championship for boats issued Lake Michigan PHRF© Handicaps.
